⚽ What is this?
The World Cup 2026 SweepStake is an informal sweepstake for the FIFA World Cup 2026 (USA · Canada · Mexico). Every participant is randomly assigned a number of national teams from the 48-team tournament. Your prize depends entirely on how your teams perform.
🎲 The Draw
Every participant is guaranteed at least one seeded team (FIFA top 30 ranked) — no one gets all minnows.
Teams are assigned randomly from two pots: Pot 1 (top 30 by FIFA ranking) and Pot 2 (the rest).
The number of teams per player depends on how many participants enter. With 16 players and 48 teams, each player gets 3 teams.
The draw is final once run — no swaps or trades.
If a team withdraws from the tournament before it starts, a replacement draw will be made for the affected participant.
💰 Prize Fund & Entry
Entry fee is set by the organiser and displayed in the Prize Fund panel.
All entry fees go into the pot — no rake, no organiser cut.
Prizes are paid out after the World Cup Final on 19 July 2026.

❓ Tiebreakers
1st/2nd place tie: If the same participant owns both finalist teams, they take 1st place prize (70%) and 2nd place (20%) is split equally among all other participants.
Top Scorer tie: If two players share the Golden Boot, the prize goes to whoever owns the team of the player who scored first. If neither team is in the sweepstake, the 10% rolls into the 1st place prize.
Lowest Team Goals tie: Joint wooden spoon shame — both participants share the dishonour.
